The Education Department of the Lake Region Conference hosted a virtual in-service on February 13, 2026, bringing together dedicated teachers and principals from across the conference. Interim President, Abraham Henry, spent time encouraging and affirming the vital role of Adventist education in ministry and mission.
He shared a powerful reminder:
“SDA education isn’t just another evangelistic site. It is the epicenter of evangelism, and it’s happening every day.
We don’t want our churches to be feeders into our schools. We want our schools to be feeders for our churches. A student’s first encounter with Jesus likely won’t be with a pastor; it will be with their teacher. We want our conference and churches not just to lend support, but to invest in one of our most important epicenters of evangelism, which is our students and our schools. Every teacher is an evangelist in this work. We appreciate you all.”
We are deeply grateful for the commitment, passion, and ministry of our educators. Your classrooms are more than learning spaces. They are daily centers of discipleship, influence, and eternal impact.
