LRC 2018 Hispanic Camp Meeting Employment

 

The following are employment opportunities for the Lake Region Conference 2018 Hispanic Camp Meeting, which will be held from August 31 – September 3, 2018. If you are selected, you will be required to fulfill additional requirements (such as Child Protection training and background screen through Verified Volunteers) and paperwork (such as and I-9 and W-4).

DINING SERVICES – CAFETERIA

Head Chef
Supervises the various matters of the kitchen. Leads and works closely with the Sous Chef and the other cooks, creates the menu (3 meals a day) and determines what’s needed for the menu. Will help choosing the kitchen crew and the kitchen expenses. Assigns duties to the Sous Chef and other cooks. Makes sure that every person of kitchen staff is keeping a time-sheet accurately that needs to be turned to Pr. Hector Leger or Gisselle Adame once Camp meeting ends. Make sure that the kitchen is left clean after camp meeting. Makes the schedule for the kitchen staff.

Supervisa diversos aspectos de el comedor. Dirige y trabaja cercanamente con el Asistente de Chef y otros funciones al asistente de chef y los otros cocineros. Debe asegurarse que cada empleado trabaje las horas designadas y complete la hoja de tiempo “Time Sheet” para presentar al Pastor Osmin Hernandez y Gisselle Adame una vez que el campestre termine. Tiene que proveer un menú de tres comidas por día. Al fin del término del empleo debe asegurarse que la cocina y el comedor estén limpios y todo este bien guardado.

No exederáde 10 horas al dia. Horas específicas serán definidas junto con Pastor Hector Leger y el departamento de Recursos Humanos de la LRC

Requirements:  One year of cooking experience.  Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment.
Reports to:  Pastor Hector Leger
Time Required:  10 hours per day

Sous Chef (Asistente de Chef)
The Sous Chef assists the Chef and is the acting Chef when the Chef is not available. Trains the cooks to promote efficiency and safety during work hours. Maintains order and discipline in the kitchen and ensures that there is no lack of hygiene in the premises. Checks that the machinery works well and reports any issues to the Chef. Keeps the schedule set by the Head Chef.

El Asistente de Chef  asiste al Chef y toma el lugar de Chef cuando el Chef no está presente en la cocina. Entrena a los cocineros para proveer mejores resultados de la manera más eficaz con los recursos suplidos. Mantiene el orden y disciplina en la cocina y se asegura que la higiene de la cocina no se descuide. Se asegura que toda la maquinaria de la cocina trabaje bien y si hay problemas con la maquinaria los reporta al chef antes que un accidente ocurra. Mantiene el horario puesto por el chef.

Requirements:  Cooking experience preferred.  Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment.
Reports to:  Head Chef/El asistente de Chef se reporta al Chef.
Time Required:  8-10 hours per day

Cook (3 positions)/Cocinero (3 vacantes)
Prepares tasty food in an efficient and fast manner.  Knows how to cook in large quantities and how to use professional cooking utensils. Maintains inventory of the kitchen and the order of the ingredients. Handles food in the most hygienic manner. Keeps the schedule set by the Head Chef.

Prepara comida de manera eficaz y rápida que sabe bien. Sabe cocinar en cantidades grandes y sabe usar maquinarias comerciales de cocina. Mantiene el inventario de la cocina. Mantiene el orden de los ingredientes y refrigeradores. Maneja la comida de la manera más higiénica posible.  Mantiene el horario puesto por chef.

Kitchen Aide/Server (3 positions)
Assist with food preparation.  Serve food to guests.  Clean kitchen equipment and appliances.

Requirements:  Dependable. Good customer service and communication skills.
Reports to:  Head Chef
Time Required:  8-10 hours per day
