The Lake Region Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Churches

The state of Illinois is in the Midwestern United States. It is the 5th most populous state and 25th largest state in terms of land area, and is often noted as a microcosm of the entire country. The conference office of The Lake Region is located in the 3rd largest American city, Chicago, IL.

The crossroads of America as the state of Indiana is called, is the 38th largest by area and the 16th most populous of the 50 United States. The Lake Region Conference has more than 30 churches throughout Indiana. The 61st General Conference is scheduled to be held in Indianapolis, IN in 2020.

Michigan is the tenth most populous of the 50 United States, with the 11th most extensive total area (the largest state by total area east of the Mississippi River[c]). Its capital is Lansing, and the largest city is Detroit which is home to the Lake Region Conference’s flagship Christian school, Peterson Warren Academy.

Minnesota is the 12th largest in the area and the 21st most populated of the U.S. States. Nearly 60 percent of its residents live in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metro area (known as the “Twin Cities”). Minnesota is apart of the Chicagoland area of churches in the Lake Region Conference.

Wisconsin is the 23rd largest state by total area and the 20th most populous. The state capital is Madison, and its largest city is Milwaukee, which is located on the western shore of Lake Michigan. Wisconsin makes up part of the Lake Region Conference’s Chicagoland area.
